Most Indian OPDs still run on a mix of memory, a pocket calculator and a printed pad. A paediatric dose is worked out on the back of a case sheet, an EDD is counted on fingers, and a fitness certificate is written by hand. It works — until the queue is 60 patients long.

SmartClinic India's free tools exist to remove those small frictions. They are open to everybody: no account, no card, no trial clock. They are also the fastest way to see how our clinic management software behaves before you commit to anything.

Why free clinical tools matter in an Indian OPD

    Three practical reasons:

    • Speed. A drip-rate or dose calculation typed once beats a mental sum re-checked three times.
    • Documentation. A printed, signed certificate or consent form is defensible; a handwritten note on a torn sheet is not.
    • Patient trust. A clean A4 PDF delivered on WhatsApp looks like the care the patient just received.
Three-step workflow: doctor uses a free online calculator, an A4 PDF is generated, the document is shared with the patient on WhatsApp
Calculate, generate the PDF, share on WhatsApp — the same flow across every tool.

    All 12 free tools, explained

    1. Prescription PDF Generator

Build an A4 prescription with 8 letterhead templates and a 2.5 lakh+ Indian medicine library. Auto-fills dose, frequency and duration, then exports a print-ready PDF or shares it directly on WhatsApp. Read the walkthrough: how to make a digital prescription in 2 minutes.

    2. BMI & BSA Calculator

Shows the WHO band and the Asian-Indian cut-off, which flags overweight and obesity roughly 2 kg/m² earlier — a real difference for Indian patients. BSA (Mosteller) is calculated alongside for oncology and paediatric dosing.

    3. Paediatric Dose Calculator

Weight-band dosing in mg/kg/day with per-dose volumes for common syrup strengths, so you can write "5 ml TDS" instead of doing arithmetic between patients.

    4. OB Wheel — Pregnancy Due Date (EDD)

Naegele's rule with gestational age, trimester and key scan windows. There is also a longer OB wheel guide if you want the reasoning behind each date.

    5. Rabies Vaccination Schedule

Generates Essen or Thai Red Cross intradermal dates from the day of bite, with category-wise RIG guidance based on WHO rabies recommendations and India's NCDC national guidelines.

    6. Glasgow Coma Scale Calculator

Eye, verbal and motor scores with the severity band and the correct E–V–M breakup for your notes — useful in casualty and IPD rounds.

    7. Creatinine Clearance (Cockcroft–Gault)

Estimates renal function before you dose a nephrotoxic or renally-cleared drug, with an obesity-adjusted weight option.

    8. Corrected Calcium Calculator

Adjusts total calcium for serum albumin so hypocalcaemia is not missed in a malnourished or hypoalbuminaemic patient.

    9. IV Drip Rate Calculator

Converts volume and time into drops per minute for macro and micro drip sets — the number your nursing staff actually needs on the chart.

    10. Medical Certificate Generator

Fitness, sickness and rest certificates on 8 designed templates with clinic letterhead, registration number and signature block. Background: medical certificate formats in India.

    11. Medical Consent Form Generator

Procedure-specific informed consent in printable A4, with patient, guardian and witness fields. See how clinics use consent forms.

    12. Discharge Summary Generator

Structured discharge summary — diagnosis, course in hospital, medications, follow-up — formatted for A4 in a few minutes instead of an hour. Details: free discharge summary generator for Indian hospitals.

How to create a document in 3 steps

    1. Open the tool. Go to smartclinicindia.com/tools and pick the calculator or document you need. No login screen appears.
    2. Fill the fields. Enter patient details and clinical values. Results update live as you type, and your clinic header can be added once and reused.
    3. Print, download or share. Export an A4 PDF, send it on WhatsApp, or print straight to your existing printer.

Privacy: why nothing leaves your browser

Every calculation and PDF is produced client-side, inside the browser tab. Patient names, weights and diagnoses are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored. Close the tab and the data is gone. That matters under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and it is why the tools work on a weak clinic connection.

If you want records that persist — patient history, billing, reports — that is what an account is for, and where ABDM-aligned record keeping begins.

Do the tools work on a mobile phone?

Yes. Every tool is responsive and works in Chrome or Safari on Android and iOS, including PDF download and WhatsApp sharing.
